Esx1 will no longer read sm cards ?!?!?HELP!!!

Esx1 will no longer read sm cards ?!?!?HELP!!!

it used to work just fine when i first got it . tried loading up some samples for the first time in aprox 2 years and now it says NO FILES ERROR . I tried formatting the cards again and i used two different cards (the only 2 i have ) any ideas about what needs to be done ?!

If you've formatted your SmartMedia cards with your ESX and you still can't read them, then you need some new cards.

Im having the exact same problem. Used the electribe no problems for a while, tried to use the Sd cards , and it erased everything from my electribe.Now it doesnt even give me the option to format the card or anything at all.When i press shift+16(card) or 15 (midi utility) nothing happens.

This could be a long shot- but maybe not. Try loading your samples with each of the options offered to see if any of them will load. ( ESsamples/ AIFF etc...........I cant remember their proper names just now) It could be that the files you are trying to load are a different type than you first thought.
