This might sound like a dumb question, but are the built-in demos in the R3 played in real time (from some kind of internal sequencer software), or are they just PCM? It sounds like there are more than two timbres in most of them, but I noticed the BPM syncs and the lights around the dial move like a step sequencer?
Just curious.
Question about R3 built-in demos

The R3 has a modulation sequencer, note arpeggiator and dual LFOs. What you're hearing is some combination of the three manipulating the sounds in real time. There's only two timbres, just lots of crazy programming to make it sound like more.
