Hi Sharp,

great idea and project. I´m also interested though I think I cannot contribute more than Kevin, Mike or Cello.

Anyway ... OASYS is alive thumbs up

Mike Conway wrote:I agree with Cello. There are some nice brass sounds. Tubas are hard to come by and these sound pretty good. The strings are decent, particularly the pizzicatto and violins. The choir is "airy" and cool. Probably the strongest suite comes from the woodwinds - nice oboe, clarinet, flute, piccolo, etc.
Agreed. You saved my a$$ with the tuba sound, as well with the pizzi. They really fit well in some of my productions. And I really liked clarinet sounds. Will give it another spin tomorrow, preparing for a live show on Friday.

Hi SoulBe.
I'll catch ya on the next upload in a day or two.

I've already added many more samples and done a lot of work on the PCG.

My vote would be for the instruments to be locked to their natural range - keeps it real - if it was good enough for Beethoven, Mozart and Rachmaninov, it should be good for us! lol
I don't have time to check out the beta, but thanks heaps for the offer, Sharp. However, I can't resist a strong disagreement with cello. I understand the concept of "keeping it real". But we are not in C20 any more, let along C19 or C18. To me, it's sometimes frustrating that Hammond clones can not have velocity-sensitivity added, or that clavinet samples don't go as low as I'd like to try them.

It can be a source of inspiration to hear a sampled sound outside of its natural range.

Keep 'em moving. When sampling is involved, there's no "natural range".

Hi Sharp,

as you can see here here, our first gig with my Oasys was back in 2007 :D So, I still have (can't sell it!) and also got a new Kronos.

Really good to see this effort for the Oasys. Does my heart good. Here's hoping it gets ready for distribution soon. Simply great news!

Thanks, nitecrawler 8)

Hi Sharp
As all my OASYS work is orchestral, I'd be particularly eager to have this suite of samples for use.

Looking forward to receiving more details.

Best regards

Darn it - I mean, great!

Darn it because I've been playing a lot with your library and was aiming to post feedback on each sound this weekend!

Great! in that I'll hold off and give you updated feedback on the new library, which I'll be looking forward to hearing - assuming you want to send me the new library, of course.

Appreciate all your work in creating these sounds for the OASYS folks.

The Tuba is already brilliant so don't change those, BTW!

Hi all.
Ok, the latest version is uploading right now. I will send out a PM the second the upload is complete. My connection is slow tonight, so there’s still about 50 minutes left on my upload.

Uncompressed it’s 690MB of data, and I’m using WinRAR to compress the upload to 300MB. Hope you have the means to extract RAR files.

Changes in this release.
1: The amount of samples has doubled to include many additional multisamples.
2: Every multisample now has a program.
3: All programs now have names.
4: Filter information for many sounds has been reprogrammed.
5: All issues that were reported to me by PM have been fixed, including the harp issues.

So… have ago and let me know what you think.

Regards
Sharp.
