sample loading question?

I have downloaded a sample of the polymoog "vox humana" preset which I was hoping to use in my Triton classic. Trouble is, when I unzip it there are 19 files. When I try to put them on to a floppy (2 hd double sided) it says there is not enough space on the disk and does not copy them. Do I then have to use 1 disk per file if so, that's 19 disks ! Or am I missing something here?. There are no instructions with the download and I know next to nothing about samplers.

well depending on the size of the files you might be able to get more than one of the files per disk, but that is unfortunately the case that you'll have to use several disks to get those bigger things in the triton... I used to load 12 disks every time I booted my triton to get my piano sound in, but now I'm using software for my piano sound so I don't really have to load samples anymore... newer korg keyboards (and other manufacturers as well) have ability to load stuff from usb sticks or SD cards or even hard drives, so if you want to use more external samples it might be a good idea to check other products or software, or get SCSI for your triton.

Ok so I tried loading the OASYS minimoog from the Triton classic section of the download section. Put all 7 .KSF and the 1 .KMP files on disk, loaded them all up onto the synth, and now I can't find it? Where's my mininoog.

I tried the "S play" button" but that did not work ether.

the samples are loaded to the RAM that you can access in the SAMPLING mode or go to program mode and on Oscillator page choose RAM instead of ROM to find loaded samples... also I think that there should be a .pcg file with the samples somewhere to get actually programs/combis that use those samples... also suggesting on reading the manual which covers the whole sampling and loading and using user samples bussiness pretty well.

You need to read the manual or look for a tutorial on how to create a program from a sample(set). Then when you have specific questions perhaps we can help. Right now all we could do is regurgitate the manual, and nobody has time for that.

Good luck though, I know it's frustrating at first. Once you've done it a few times it gets a lot easier. If you're really looking to do a lot of sampling however, I would also suggest getting SCSI or a card reader for your Triton. Disks are just too cumbersome.

Ok, I found out that I had to use a bass programe and change the samples used. I read the "read me txt" that came with the file. Lol, I didn't see that until after I posted. Regarding getting a card reader. Where on the forum would I find info about this. I have a Triton classic.

You can do a forum search for this topic, or Google it online.

One of the reasons I upgraded to the M3 was the fact it utilizes USB for patch and sample management.
