No recording
Same here, playback with midi keyboard works fine, recording does not work though, only using the screen keys. Works fine in other apps (Garageband, for example).

Maybe one of you Novation SL MKII owners can give me a hand.
I can't get my encoders or sliders to work with iMS-20 (or any other apps). I'm using a powered usb hub and the camera connection kit. If I power the MKII up before connecting the iPad, the keyboard readout shows the encoders are working. Once I plug the iPad into the hub, the keyboard plays the synth fine, but the encoders and sliders stop responding.
Curiously, the MKII buttons still work fine and are assignable to functions in synths with a learn mode. I also tried powering the keyboard with its own dedicated power supply and got the same result.
I'm using an iPad2 running the latest iOS. Any ideas or suggestions? Would the Midi Mobilizer solve this issue?
edit #1: I was able to get it working over wifi using midibridge and rtpmidi. Not idea for a portable solution, though, because it requires a computer. Anyone have an idea why the controllers fail once plugged into the iPad?
edit #2: SOLVED. I updated to MKII version 1.3.12, and that was the fix.
The link for the update: http://beta.novationmusic.com/releases/sl_mkii/
The update also requires midiox which was a little hard to find since their site was down, but I eventually found it.

Keys and sound stuck while playing
Hi everybody,
I've ims 20 on my ipad 2 with Alesis IO Dock and I play it with my R3 through MIDI cable. It sounds great, but it gives me a huge problem, especially if I'd like to use it live: while i'm playing ims 20 with R3, without no clear reason the sound and the key on the app interface remains blocked, and the only way to stop it is to close the app. Has anyone had the same problem, or idea to fix it?
Thx

Axiom 25 + powered hub = Kinda OK
Hi all. I'm new to the forum, new to the iPad, and very new to the iMS-20. I've been able to get a 1st gen Axiom 25 to work via the CCK in a very basic fashion. The keyboard (including aftertouch), the transpose keys and the mod wheel all work in the iMS-20, but only when connected through a powered USB hub. The rotary encoders and trigger pads don't do anything. When the Axiom is connected I don't see the pop up window in the app saying that a controller has been connected, so I guess that's why the functionality is limited. I also tried connecting directly via USB cable and using an AC adapter, but the iPad gives me a "device uses too much power" warning.

Two new controllers
Yesterday afternoon I went to my local music store to get a small controller. I tried the Korg microKEY 37 and it didn't work at all connected directly, and I ended up getting an M-Audio Keystation Mini 32 which is quite compact and feels pretty solid for such a small unit.
