How to copy same synth settings over multiple patterns

While using the drum machine, I made a synth sound within pattern 1 and wanted to make a different drum beat to fill in pattern 2. When I went over to pattern 2 I noticed the synth setting that had been set for pattern 1 disappeared. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to copy synth settings over multiple patterns? If there isn't a way to do this beyond turning the knobs manually for each pattern that you want to have the same synth, I'd say the ability to copy synth settings would be great for a future update.
