Slow transfer rate

Post by gewa »

I have installed 16gb usb drive instead of 4gb default piko usb. That part works fine, but I'm having a problem with very slow transfer rate. When enabling HD connection from Media USB page, it takes about 40 sec. for drive to show in win7, and the transfer rate is about 600kb/sec. I tried putting back the original usb , and the same thing happens. Anyone else having this kind of problem?

I am having the same problem. It takes over a minute for the pc to detect the drive. Data transfer is also very slow.

Don't worry both of You, this is not malfunction but a normal
situation and reason is slow USB data transfer protocol 1.0 that PaSeries use.
Also remember that the faster USB Stick is still at least 6 times slower compared
with Pa3X internal HD and this is the primary reason of use internal HD.

"USB data transfer protocol 1.0 that PaSeries use."

Wow! I find that hard to accept. Is it a fact that the PA3X uses the old USB 1.0 data rate rather than 2.0? USB 2.0 has been out for a very long time . . .

USB protocol is the last thing to worry about if for example you investigate
Pa3X CPU core frequency or peripheral clocking then 1.0 is indeed advanced !
Not to mention Fat16 USB Stick format that even Kronos use !
