I was following this threat and made a comment based on xmlguy's very interesting suggestion of the DigiTech IPB-10 Programmable Pedalboard for iPad http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=53070
and it got me thinking. That pedalboard/ipad combo looks dope, but imagine if you stomped on your screen instead of the bank! The design is nice, but personally i wouldn't really be keen on my ipad so low to the ground like that. On the contrary, I could see something like this working a la that AKAI Synthstation25 - you plug in your ipad into a synth/workstation/groovebox and merge touch screen software with tweakable and playable hardware. The closest thing I've seen is this: http://www.amazon.com/Akai-SynthStation ... 985&sr=8-8
Anyone know the status of this? Here's a video from NAMM 11:

Imagine if Korg came out with a new ipad Electribe/keyboard docking station. I could see some real nice ideas coming to life. Hopefully, they'll take a suggestion!

The release dates you see on retailers is just them throwing random crap in their systems, because the database needs a date.
It originally had a release date of April 2011, according to Guitar Center! Akai has never hinted at a release date.
I got tired of waiting, so I made the SynthStation 61.
