I think I do hear what you mean, but it isn't real distortion. What I hear is a noise produced by a part of the actual recorded piano resonating at that frequency. Those kind of noises are pretty common on piano's, especially when mechanical parts are a bit loose and able to resonate. Didn't notice it before though, I'll check out if I can reproduce it.

I'm at work and can't check this, but always remember to try a reboot if things start acting Wonky. I've had 2 occasions in the last year where that solved the "problem". Haven't had any since OS 1.5 AFAIK though.

did you recorded it through DAW?? try to listen through headphones directly from kronos headphone output...
and other thing... did you press sustain pedal while playing it?? what velocity curve did you used??

sorry i cannot reproduce it in anyways (velocity curve 4, velocity bias and intensity +100 through my headphones and my monitor)
the problem is your DAW / interface i think... or the kronos master volume is being set too high while you're recording it... (clipping problem?)
