(Never mind . . .) KP3 internal sync to imported wavs?

Post by mojofunk »

Hi! I'm having a perplexing issue that perhaps someone around here has figured out previously - I have no problems with drift if I sample in real time a drum loop, all samples added after the initial drums line up fine and do not drift over time, but if I load the exact same loop via the editor (with correct bpm info) and then add some melodic samples on the remaining pads they will start off fine but drift over time until it's a complete mess.

So for example I have a 100 bpm drum loop that I trigger on a sp-404 and sample onto padA. The KP3 is midi slaved to a KPro set to 100 bpm. Then I add a bassline to KP3 padB. No problem - it'll stay synced forever. If I was to save the drum loop to sd card slot 00 and then load it onto padA (starting fresh), then add a bassline on padB the two loops will eventually drift away from one another. Align gets them back together, but why would this happen? If I am playing guitar over the top it is mighty inconvenient to be pulled back down to earth by misaligned loops and the necessity to realign! This means that my intention of loading the sd card up with a bunch of loops is pointless, as they will never stay synced - it seems that I am doomed to always have to sample the beats in real time . . . is this everyone elses experience as well, or am I doing something wrong?

Any advice would be most welcome! Thanks!

Oh well. Never mind. After poking around further on the forum I see that this is well known to be broken, and cannot function properly. Bogus.
