AFAIK you need a serial number above 3600 to get the fix already applied. It's likely that second unit is also faulty.
You should clearly tell the store to send you one having a serial number of 3600 or above
If they don't have, you better get a refund or check with a support center actual availability of the replacement parts.

Ok, Korg has got back. This replacement has the old keybed.
The dealer has one which is 3558 which Korg guarantee is the new keybed. They are going to send me that one.
I should mention the dealer is Andertons in the UK and they have been extremely helpful over all this, I would highly recommend them which is more than I can say for Korg at the moment!

Ok, third one has now arrived, and I am now getting a bit annoyed.
Pink bits even though the dealer triple checked with Korg that this was the new keybed.
This one has an extremely noisy fan, the worst yet.
I'm not really sure what to do, the dealer has now sent 3 of these. The one I have now was just received from Korg, it is not stock they have had sitting around.
So Korg is still sending keyboards to dealers with the old keybed in!
Who is the best person at Korg to contact about this?

My advice: return it and pay the difference for the new Kronos X. That one, for sure, has the fix applied. Get a decent discount considering all the hassle you've faced.

Considering current Kronos with serial number above 3600 have the fix applied and those are shipped with 1.5.0 (or even 1.6.0), then for sure the Kronos X which is shipping with 2.0 will have the fix applied because, for sure, it's a more recent production batch.
The downside is that you'll end paying more
I would buy an "old" Kronos (nice discount and it's the same after all) but I would not allow the store to even shipping it to me if the serial number is below 3600. They don't even have to open the box to check: there's a label on the box with the serial number.

Dan emailed back and told me to contact Korg UK, which I have just done.
I will keep you updated with progress.
This one did come with 1.5.2 installed and also the key spacing looks much better than the last one.
Korg guaranteed to the dealers that this one had the new keybed, apparently the serial is not a full indication of if it has the new keybed. There is another code this one (3558) is K1, the first one I had (3559) was J12.
It still has the pink rubbers though!
So for the moment I am just going to turn the volume up, ignore the fan and actually enjoy using it and see what Korg come up with.
Cheers
Andy

Please make sure that the keybed works perfectly and if this is the case, it would be nice from you to post this valuable information on the sticky post regarding the keybed fix.BobTheDog wrote:Ok the dealer has got back to me, he has checked with the Korg head of service in the UK who guaranteed him that this has the new keybed even though the rubber bits are pink, so it looks like the pink/blue rubber is not a true indication of the keybed in new Kronos keyboards supplied by Korg.
