I will never understand why Korg is thinking that people in Germany are rich enough to pay such more high prices instead of other countries ...
I doubt it's Korg corporate, it's probably your local Korg importer setting their own profit margins.

I don't know who is accountable for that prices but such prices proper provoke a bad mood. If it's not Korg but our german local Korg importer, Korg should correct him, because it will be Korg which will get an too expensive reputation ... !
Their RRP for the 61 X version = 3926 EUR ( = 4772 $ ) ??
Perhaps that's the reason that a germany guy like me has so much wishes? I will have to pay much money for that machine!
EDIT:
Yes it includes VAT but the price above, too or ?

By the way, doesn't that price include German 19% VAT ??? Without the VAT it's more like US$3241

Here in the USA we generally do not have to pay Sales Tax (VAT) if we purchase from a dealer in another state and that dealer does not have any operations in our state. The price in the OP is without sales tax.

I spent quite a bit of time in Braunschweig. They have wonderful Weissbier and Spargel in the spring. I always stayed at the Mövenpick Hotel ... wonderful food and ice cream!
