I have a lot of music I have spent hours on, and would like to transfer this to my iPad Korg apps, but there doesn't really seem to be a midi import of any kind.
Sure, I can create music on my iPad apps, but I can't record anything externally with a controller... All the work has to be done on the iPad, or so it seems, which is not the most practicle interface to work with.
I've looked at a few of the files that the iMS-20 uses, and can see the patterns in the files, but none of these files seem to have a known format.
So I'm left to ask the question... Why can't you record or import midi into any of these Korg apps, like the iKaossilator, iMS-20, or iElectribe? The apps respond to midi, but you cant record it. This makes no sense to me... It would be nice to truly have a portable studio of my creations with me at times to promote myself... Any suggestions?
Can anyone confirm this?

Hi there,
I believe there is an app called 'Music Studio' that allows MIDI import and export.
It relies on Audio Copy and Audio Paste which I assume is what you would use to get the music from the Korg apps ?!?!
There is a free trial version to try but that disables the MIDI functionality
Might be worth looking into though.
Cheers,
Krog.

There are a few apps the record and edit midi.
Here are a few:
Nanostudio, Beatmaker 2, FL Studio Mobile, Aurora HD.
I have recorded and edited midi files in Meteor Multi Track as well.
Nanostudio is really full featured with synths, etc.
Beatmaker 2 is also amazing with recently added audio recording. Beat Maker 2 doesn't have any synth engines, though so it is all samples.
Just wanted to add some additional info.
