So, finally 2.0.2. is installed. I am so relieved.
I agree I might have had a corrupted USB stick. This probably made the updating fail and corrupted the system.
The problem afterrwards was that it is apparently not possible to update to 2.0.2 directly from 1.0.6.
Reauthorizing was not necessary after reformatting. This is the good news.
It took me a day, but finally I have it working now. Phew, thanks Steve, for helping me out.
Installing 2.0.2 failed, Kronos corrupted!

It would be great if Korg could even put it on their site (they cannot expect people to buy additional hardware for such operation I think).
It's not that i mind so much buying a usb dvd rom, problem is compatibility. I tried at least 3 that didn't work, i would rather have a usb
stick or even an external Harddrive for this operation. If you are on the road like me sometimes 1 minute spared is a huge diference.
* On a side note every Dvdrom reader i tried was powered only via usb, i wonder if this is an issiue...

Hope everything goes well with your Kronos now!
I've never had problems like this so no need to restart from OS 1.0.2...
But if it happens, I'm assuming its ok to upgrade from 1.0.2 directly to 2.0.2, right?
Thanks!

Upgrading from 1.0.1 (in my case) to 2.0.2 worked for me without any troubles. BTW, did anyone experience any start-up and/or memory load failures with 2.0.2? I had these constantly with 1.5 and 1.6, but now my Kronos seems stable.Phabius wrote:Hope everything goes well with your Kronos now!
