I am really, really happy about the SV-1. I'll admit; you do need a very clear and pure amplifier to run the sound through, since anything with it's own character will just affect and diminish the sound of the SV1 IMO. But other than that, it is amazing. If someone is still planning on purchasing an SV1, I recommend to make full use of the computer editor. I started my own soundpack with a set of 18 collected organs (that's all the organs from the three soundpacks, except for the "FAVORITES" splits/layers), 6 collected piano's, and 12 collected E.piano's. Yep, this means I threw out all the clavinets and others; simply because I don't need these sounds.
I put on a headphone and tweak the sounds in the editor as close to (my perception of) perfection as I can. The on-board controls can be a bit hectic in the beginning, but with saving your own presets you don't have to worry THAT much. It's just basically setting up a (great) base sound for yourself, and you can tweak it live up to some extent. All the different Editor options are awesome, because you can really narrow your sound down to exactly that tonal character that you need, although this takes some effort.
ALSO, no problems with the keybed; all keys and notes are safe and sound. After reading all the stuff on here, I'll make sure I'll store it the right way. That is, horizontal, in my room, on a standard, playable at any second. Because no way I'm gonna put this baby away.
