Would the M3 be enough for me?

Post by clipnotic »

Hello,

after long searches and many comparisons I'm thinking about to buy the M3.

I still have the Korg Radias (I love it), a nice JD990 and many good VST Plugins like Sylenth, Omnisphere and I like to use the M3 mostly for production in my DAW with standard Midi and audio connection.

What I want to do especially with the M3:

- create that typical Korg Pads (lively, gentle ... the nice ones  )
- create lively and changeable Karma melody sequences / arps

I'm not interested in pianos ... I only search for the Korg atmosphere, pad and sweet arpeggio style.

My questions:

- is this good possible with the M3 with the samples inside of the M3?
- has Karma M3 enough features for that?
- works the M3 good with midi?
- works the M3 good multitimbral?
- What could a Kronos do more only in that area?
- what's the difference between M3 Karma and Kronos Karma for that?
- are there really good 3rd Party sound libraries available for the M3? Which one?
- Are there M3 bugs or problems I should now in 2012?

My music is not really modern so I don't need wobble Bass or Super Saw ... I prefer the old and nice style of electronic music ... so is the M3 nice enough for that? :)

Thank you for help and answers!

Thank you very much for your answers!

to 7.) 3rd Party Libraries for the M3

I'm looking for really good pads, atmosphere and karma arpeggiator sounds, which are using the M3 samples/waveforms and features very good and are good playable and useful, too. OK, mostly I will program my sounds myself but for learning and a little bit inspiration, one or more good and professional preset libraries would be great! I don't need 100 pianos ... the M3 would be mostly used as a synthesizer .. But good guitars or a nice harp would be great additional instruments, too ... :)

great and good price! I will listen to the demos ... Jean Michel Jarre sounds good! :)

Are this 2 different libraries? One with 6 combis and 24 programs and another one with another 24 programs?
