A better idea would be adding PCM data from 01/W and waveshaping function to M1, since not much else is different there.

Trinity in plugin form, now that would be something! (Along with MOSS, but that's a pipe dream.)
I'd be fine with this. Having a soft01/W is the only way I would consider buying the legacy pack.

I'm dissapointed with the Kronos. I guess it's because I just don't get excited over 20 different variations of an Acoustic Piano, or a Fender Rhodes. I've always loved FM EP's (the 01/W has some excellent FM tiney sounding EP's), but there aren't many stock FM patches on the Kronos that don't sound like they are all DX7 stock patch emulations. The DX7 shined best when it was programmed the heck out of.

I remember listening to the 01/W's "DynoPiano" the first time, and was blown away at how good a sampled FM patch could sound like. Same with the SY99's "Classic EP", which to this date, is my favorite "DX7 Rhodes" emulation.

I haven't seen anything of this sort in any of the later synths.[/list]
Tyros 4. 01/Wpro. N5ex. SY99, Legacy M1, WS & Triton VST's. Wavestate Native VST :D
