Krome 73 key keybed

Post by sjmarano »

Has anyone here had the opportunity to play the 73-key version of the Krome and compare it to the 61-key? I'm assuming that they are essentially identical in action and quality? The stores I've found here in northern Jersey that have the Krome on the showroom floor are all displaying the 61-key version. My opinion for what it's worth is that the action on the 61 key is fair, better than the M50 but far from the best I've experienced, certainly acceptable for a budget-priced workstation.

Thanks.
I could have sworn I read somewhere that the 73 key was going to have semi-weighted action rather than piano-like hammer action of the 88 key, but maybe I read that wrong.

They are indeed the same. Only difference is number of notes. FWIW, to me it feels about the same as the m50 keybed. Which as we know had that dodgy plastic hinge mechanism...
