How to operate an external module in split mode ???

Post by Ricardo »

Hi All,

I´m still having the problem how to operate an organ module with the TR.
I simply want to split the TR keyboard into two halfes and control the lower and upper manual section of the module with the left and right half respectively.

I tried it with the combi mode, but had no success as the assignement of the midi channels did not work at all.
Is there a way in the sequencer mode to fix that ?

I would really really appreciate any help or a piece of advice on that.
Thanks a lot upfront.

Regards Ric

P.S.: In order to look whether the module is the problem, I tried it out using a very old SQ16 keyboard. The set up took me less than 1 minute and it worked at first go. Shame on Korg !

Korg workstations always transmit on the Globl channel, so you want to make sure that none of your organ's channels match that.

Then set two timbres in your combi to EXT mode and set them to transmit on two channels that match the upper and lower channels on your module, and set the key zones for those timbres.
