the use and tune of soundfonts SF2 with a M3

Post by 404bekawe »

Hi,
my name is Bernardo, I'm relative new to the M3 but already fully enthused by this great keyboard :D wow, what a fun and world of posibilities!! 8)
I've already read the important chapters in the manual and the (huge) reference but with the SF2 thing I'm stuck for a while now:
I bought some SF2, they all load with no problems to the USB stick and also into the M3. Some of them made no sound at all.
My question to the experienced M3 owners: Where exactly can I educate myself about the use and tuning of the sound fonts?
Or, could please someone explain me, for example - how to add the Leslie effect (and other tweaks) to an organ sound font?
Hope somebody could drop me a line :)
Thank you!!

soundfonts are loaded in ram as multisamples

you have to use these multisamples in a program to apply FX, filters, enveloppes...
YAMAHA W5 + TRITON proX (exb MOSS / exb PCM01 / exb PCM05 / exb SCSI / 64Mo) + M3-73 No.000187 v2.0 (exb Radias v2.0 / exb M256) + DOEPFER LMK2+
AKAI DPS16 + MINDPRINT Envoice + ART Dual MP + RODE NT1000
BEHRINGER DDX3216 + 4 MACKIE SRM350 + 2 MACKIE SWA1501 (+ PEAVEY KB300 )

Thank you very much, R12 ! :D

With your input I got motivated to dig into the menus and found where the effect could be set. [P8]
Well, it looks that apart from learning to play a M3 I have to be a computer expert to take advantage of some of the features
The first few tweaks I did sound horrible
But I enjoy a lot playing around with the settings and observe, what they do.

Some of the SF2 I bought are "muted". Still searching how to make them sound.......... :?:

Have a nice day!
