MicroKontrol issues (driver related?)

Post by Rix0n »

So, I installed Reason5 on my laptop - plugged in my MicroKontrol and it worked fine, this was before I knew about the 'scenes' function and the librarian editor, so I'm not 100% sure but I think it was just working under 'native mode'... So I installed the driver from the KORG website...

Now Reason won't detect it at all! (but it's still showing as connected in device list, I can even see what MIDI channels it's using, etc... but Reason acts as if nothing's connected!

I've tried reinstalling the KORG drivers, I've even tried uninstalling the driver software and the driver manager software and it never really uninstalls! Every time I plug the keyboard in, the driver manager reinstalls the KORG driver even though I've uninstalled it!

WTF is going onnnnnnn?

='(

[I've just tried reinstalling Reason, seeing how that goes now - will update this post in about 10 mins]

[Yep, still not detecting it. Why would installing the KORG driver suddenly stop Reason from detecting it?]

I don't want to have to reformat and reinstall Windows to properly remove the KORG driver, as the uninstaller never actually uninstalls it =/

So I just read somewhere that the Editor/Librarian software may have changed settings on the actual controller itself...

If so; how am I supposed to find out what's changed?
