korg pa 3x lcd screen plastic cover?

Post by omarnawabi »

Hey i just got my 3x and was looking to buy a lcd protector for my pa 3x and today while playing around with it i noticed that when i pressed on the screen i noticed something moving down below my finger, at first i thought it was a vibration however with closer inspection i think its a plastic covering that korg has built in perhaps to avoid damaging the lcd? When using the lcd , if you pay attention and press lightly and slowly you ll notice that something moves down as if its a plastic covering , Can someone confirm this?

Yes, it's also the case with PA800 and PA500 (that I had for a couple of years).
Never experienced any problem with my touch screens so far; they are absolutely awesome good quality.
(Though I must admit I'm a very careful person when it comes to this expensive equipment).

Thanks alot for the response, its really cool how they thought of putting one on. I thought mine had a problem or something, and honestly you do have to be careful with these machines, they are very expensive. I think i am just more observable than others, I bet many people don't even notice this?

What for you need it?, if you use it with care you don't need it. It will prevent you from using the scree easy.

Hi omarnawabi

Most Touch screens other than IPAD's are like this. It is simply how they work. It is not for protecting the screen but the older way of getting it to work.

Have a look at the like below.
