I don't understand the objections some people seem to have against the name; surely you don't buy an instrument for its literary qualities?
At least KORG has a sense of humor, and I would not be surprised if the name is a reference to the fat sound this synth features.

It does not make sense for a dealer to put up fictional images of an imaginary synth.
KORG's gorilla probably is a modeled analog with a vacuum tube added to create the impression of analog warmth.

Pretty ugly casing, but my guess is that they polished the MMT engine and added analog filters. Is that a mic grille to the left? I've heard people say it could be a vent for a tube, but they're usually displayed more prominently, not to mention it'd be a hassle to change out. Either way this is pretty exciting, and I'm calling legit. 8)

Also, can't you see Korg calling something the "King Korg" based on their more recent offerings? I kinda like it, but it'd be better used on something with a more "chunky" look to it.

I forgot the name exactly, KorgisKing or KingKorg, i know one of them is banned.
Well it certainly is not a Korg product and that is for sure lol. Korg puts the Korg trademark on their procucts and not KingKorg lol. Good grief people.

What does this even mean? "KORG" is right there to the left of "KingKorg". People saying "the logo doesn't look to be up to design standards" and other tenuous crap will have to do better to convince me it's a fake. Got any other threads to pull, Shitlock?

Csteen, as the source is an official korg distrubutor, albeit in a third world country (my country, thankyouverymuch), and as I was the one who found the photos, they can't be fake. You don't have to trust me, just ask the guys who could see the source, and then, look here: http://www.korg.co.jp/English/Distribut ... ?keyword=A .

Thank you Synthtopia!!!! http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2012/ ... photoshop/

Anyhow King Korg or however it is labeled does not matter...fine it's King! All I care about is what it can do...but it's only 3-oscillators?!?!?!

One can still get more out of an EMX...disappointing. I would expect a lot more going polyphony. Some have spoken of a price; can you guys post the price?

Three oscillators does not automatically mean that the synth has a 3-voice polyphony.

At last, a link that works for me.
I'm sceptical about the low quality, however a 3-osc analog synth is something I could imagine Korg doing. After all, as someone has already said, the demise of the radias leaves a bit of a hole in their range between the MK/R3 at the bottom and the huge jump up to the M3s and Kronoses soaring miles above the rest. Time for something new in the mid-range, analog or not!

Something else i'm sceptical about it that the body shape looks very similar to the krome, and at first glance i thought it was a krome with a white panel. Real or not then, I'm not convinced on the looks - the bodyshell is the same as a krome 61, and the smaller knobs are the same as the krome's aswell. Either it's photoshopping or korg is deciding to cut production costs by using the same parts.
