Assign separate timbre volumes to each knob...

Post by 177e »

I am trying to assign the volume of timbres one through three on each respective assignable knobs. How would I do this? Thanks in advance.

I discovered you can only assign that function to two knobs.
First one will be VOLUME, second will be EXPRESSION.

If you assign the same parameter to two knobs, any change to one will affect the other, and they will both move at the same time.

Under the Timbre edit, MIDI Filter tab, Check/UnCheck the timbres you want or dont want affected by the selected knob.

It works well enough for me. I was able to re-create a B-3 like organ from scratch. I am still playing with which drawbars to assign to each of my two knobs, but so far it works great.

you can actually do it, but you're going to burn 4 ifx...
check it out...
load whatever patches you want... i'm assuming it's combi?
make 4 ifx slots each with routing to (from!) each of the patches you are talking about...
load the first plugin into each fx slot (stereo compressor)...
set your levels, and then assign the 'wet/dry' to whatever of the 4 knobs you want.
there is actually one korg preset that uses this, i think it's a drum n' bass patch... where there are ghost drums on the joystick.
can't remember anything more specific, but it's done with the compressor.
