If your Kronos does have some physical problems, then I am sorry for you. However, if you are just complaining that it doesn't have features from previous Korgs, maybe someone here can design a better work station.

So far all I've seen is complaints about how the Kronos isn't the perfect machine for them. What was everybody expecting? Surely you tested it thoroughly before you bought it. And if you couldn't, that's one thing. But if you had the opportunity to check it out, then don't you think it's your fault for buying it?
Now, in case I just made you angry again, I'm sorry. I just don't see the point in getting upset because something doesn't do what you expected when it's as complicated and multifaceted as the Kronos is. Granted, it dos a LOT of things and cost a lot of money. But until somebody actually makes the "do everything" workstation, we're just going to have to live with this on.

I tend to prefer progressive rock myself although I play in a country rock band as well as a hard rock band. I'm also in a duo doing classic rock covers and play about half of the show on guitar. The other half of the duo is my friend Rid who just sings and plays some harmonica. Our duo is called Mental Floss and we've been together for about 20 years except for the 3 years in the mid 90's when I was touring in Europe in a band called Killer Bee. Based out of Sweden.
I'm 57 and grew up musically with bands like Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant, King Crimson and Jethro Tull. Obviously I also listened to everything else that was happening in those years but the progressive rock thing has always been in my blood. I've also had a great love of jazz/fusion and blues too. I buy a lot of CD's.
A good idea of what I'm all about is to listen to what I do.

Check it out and let me know what you think. I've found that. well, because I listen on a "close to audiophile"stereo that computer speakers rarely sound good enough to give one a proper listening experience.
As for your other suggestion. I unfortunately have no idea at all what a K5000 is. Sorry.
Is this similar to a DX-7 thing? I had one many years ago and actually used to program it. was painful with that tiny screen.

I don't know if could say I am sad or happy however, what's been clear is that there is so much hatred and name-calling for defying Korg to do a "change", ... you might remember the previous thread (For the Brave Ones) was marked as a
top thread for while, however it had it's sticky bit removed because it was generating a lot of heat,... clearly Korg didn't like it. They tried best to shut me up, they tried private emails, publiclly asking me to stop, but since I was
legally allowed, I never stopped working on this and talking online. Eventually, the way to do it was to get a user out of nowhere to come in, started an attack against me which all disagreed with, caused the admins to block my user
account without removing the negative bits. Everyone knew this was unfair, and to prove it, the admins locked that thread to avoid seeing furious users making an opinion for such action...
Therefore, I think it's best for me to say goodbye for now, this is officially my last post on this forum.
Before I go, I believe I owe few explanations that I have to say:
1) "Allegations" of writing spam: If you remember the original post (For the brave ones) I wrote almost 22 pages of very nice and interesting subject/thread, I had a great time, and all the others enjoyed seeing a lot there. users posts
there still indicates that some thought it was the best thread on the forum, therefore, I don't believe I posted any spam whatsoever on that thread unlike what's been alleged.
2) Where did it all go wrong? Well, Things on the thread above, beginning from Page-22: a fake account user came in, started an attack against me ("Abort" user), the aim was to lock the thread and get me to stop writing forever since I
made it clear that in 6 months time I might be coming back with a brand-new (or modified) OS regardless of what others think how crazy I am for even thinking about this.
3) With my very busy life and schedule, I managed to do something that I felt is what many were looking for as evidence, or something I was very proud of (hence my video to show "I'm in,... again"), made it easy now for me to go in and
implement changes the way I liked to see them, yes, some might think, what's this guy all about?!... or, Rubbish, he's gonna get nowhere with this. However, for system developers, the video is clear, I don't need to say how much this
means, or how much has been done now, and how deep I'm in the system and what possibilites I am now capable of implementing, you know better than that. Don't care!?... sure, it's a free country and it's a free world. I will do my bits
and then perhaps someday someone might come back and thank me for at least trying.
4) Multiple accounts?... Well, frankly I wish I could use my own (Heider) but, since it was blocked for no good reason, I can't login using it anymore, thernefore, I created another one sent a message, got blocked, created another, sent
a message, got blocked, created another one, sent a message, got blocked, get it?... I am not in the business of wasting time, or creating accounts, the aim here was to send a message to whoever doubted me to say "Yes, this is what I
have done in 6 months", and now it's about "when" not "if" for changes to happen...
5) So, what am I guilty of?!... Well, still not sure to be honest, no longer care anymore, I guess coming back dfying the world saying that I've done a change to my existing Kronos, has generated so much hatred again, you saw the slam

name on it all over the place), and that no copyrights was on it, (legally anything with name on it belongs to me), and that no logo nor web IP (Intellectual property) have been registered in the UK, US, or Ireland, Therefore, it allows
me legally to copy my content accross and build on top of it. However, having said all that, and looking at some sad faces (reading very sad comments), and in either not to be drawn down into this negativity and stress, I've decided to
switch mine off anyway, and start from scratch. You couldn't believe how nice it felt to see some nice comments on twitter about the stuff. I'm sure the same people who attacked me here, would not hesitate to attack me there for working
on the "change", however, the difference is, I get to keep the nice comments and get rid of the ones I don't like, which is fantastic !...
7) Going into a legal action?: After discussing with many friends, my Mrs. who has the final saying in this, to save me from going into a stressful situation again, and to avoid other risks, I decided not to go further than that. Why no
legal action being taken?... because it's a lose-lose situation... If I win the court-case, then it would be tens of thousands of dollars spent in court, to recover, some jobs would have to be cut, or company size shrunk, or some
products scrapped, etc, eventually people would hate me for such damage. If I lose the court-case, then although my employer or Insurance would pay, I would've lost already. So, I think I'll bite the bullet and stop here for now.
Seeing the amount of hatred on my last 2 created threads, I stepped back thinking; who am I fighting for?!... is it worth all the hassle?... am I the only one not happy about his instrument?... It's another reason why I decided to
stop posting here and removed the threads from my personal sites as well. With that said, I will be still working on my project whenever I have time and will be posting videos between now and then and be welcoming any feedbacks over
there. All I can say is; someday someone will thank me for my work rather than making up a fight against me just to shut me down.

... I mean the purpose of a forum is to talk, right?!,... this is the only forum that I've seen many people telling others to "shut up" and
do something else other than discuss talk here etc, this really made me laugh, ... by the way; not sure if you have guesseed yet; I'm not a musician, music isn't my main... I am a software and hardware developer, Music is my hobby, but
system and app software, reverse engineering is in my blood (or DNA)...
10) Best keyboard ever?... perhaps for you, sadly not for me, I really miss my Yamaha keyboard that had arranger features, Karma isn't the thing for me especially when it requires 2 PCs to be programmed, the one inside the Kronos and
another outside !!!, eventually after spending tons of hours working things out to do just one program, I can't switch between a startup-program and a fill-in without stopping the Rhythem playback. That to me have absolutely killed any
passion I had about playing. However, knowing now that there is a PC inside the Kronos running Intel processors, therefore, regardless of what language it has, and regardless of whether or not I know anything about that language, I know
for a fact that I can re-write this to suit my needs, others might like what I'm doing and might like to go with me, or stay with whatever they have, that's all to it, it's not about playing music for me anymore.
11) Hosting a private website (AlMansourCollege.com): Sure, if you check my website (www.newhex.com) you would clearly see that I'm into the web-hosting business and have alot more website I'm hosting, I've done it very well before
moving into my current job, and still run some webs either as a legacy or doing it for free, or both. Having my address on this site? yes, because domains by nature would inherit the owner's address when joining into a hosted set,
therefore, since it's been asked earlier, this is the answer to the "mystry" or "weirdness"... which I hope it helps. Is it legal?!... of course!.
12) Finally, I never insulted any person here, nor done any spamming. If you check my thread and the previous one, you will clearly see how I treated the others with full respect.
So, there you have it..., I'm off now, back into being productive, I am sure some of you might feel extatic, or laugh their socks off, some others might be sad, some might not care, it is what it is...
For what it's worth;... There have been times in the past whereas I've been edicted to the forum, used my iPhone when taking my kids to the park whilst thinking of what's the next person gonna say about my thread here,... in all honesty;
