Splitting 2 voices on the keyboard

AMS showed you the way.
However, this wouldn't copy the effects of the Programs you want to use. So best is to use the command "Copy from Program". That way, you get the effects settings as well. Then you can finalize your split with the Zone tab.

(...)Does anybody know how to split 2 voices on the keyboard, so that the lower octave (left hand side of the keyboard - from A1 to G3) is 074: stereo orchestral brass and the higher octave (right hand side of the keyboard - from G#3 to G9) is 068: 16'+8' harpsichord + pluk?(...)

Not specifically, but it could be argued that the fx are part of the program's sound. With a simple harpsi and some brass you'd probably just miss some reverb doing it your way. With other patches it can be much more dramatic.

I agree; use "copy from program", tick the box "all IFX, " MFX" etc for the first program. Then for the second program use "all IFX used" instead. Finally, set up the key zones as you already showed.
With a little luck, no more tweaking will be needed and you'll be a lot closer to the original sounds.

There is no question about the effects…

I know. But experience shows that most people who ask this sort of question will come back to say "I managed to create my split, but the combi doesn't sound like the programs". That's why I pointed out that creating a combi is best started by using Copy from program, before setting up the split itself.

This doesn't minimise the validity of your contribution. I am simply adding to it.
