MS2000 Bass Sounds= Microkorg?

Post by shinobi »

Hi guys ! please give me a hand here.

All I want to know is if the Microkorg has the SAME ENGINE as the MS2000 ...so Oscilators, Filters, Envelope.

As an example, can the Microkorg make the exact same sound as the MS2000 produces in this video?

Thanks a lot!

The synth engine in the original microkorg is the same as in the MS2000, without the sequencer. Therefore it should be easy to replicate MS2000 sounds on the microkorg.

^ 'tis true. And, sequencing is easy externally.

I've heard somewhere you can load MS2000 preset files onto the microkorg as well, or am I wrong?

You can, but I think the mappings are different so you won't get the same sound. You'd have to reprogram it.
