Is there any chance of an updated iElectribe?
Is there any chance of an updated iElectribe? A more powerful one now that the iPad 4th generation is out? I mean seriously the new iPad has processor speed to burn, its nearly twice as fast as the 3rd gen apparently.
I mean seriously just add a few features and the iElectribe could be a live production monster.
What Id like to see:
1. 3 effects buses like the ESX/EMX series
2. ability load own samples/loops
3. ER1 style drum synth channels with layering of a sample allowed
4. EMX style synth channels with VA and sample waves allowed
5. Beat flutter pad being allowed to be changed to filter, delay or other master effect.
6. Replace the tube simulation with a proper master compressor
Do this and I recon you could play an entire live show with just this.

For what its worth I actually applaud Korg for not upgrading their apps to make use of the higher spec hardware.
As an iPad1 owner its good to know that my device is still capable of running Korgs excellent apps and that I've not got to invest in an expensive hardware upgrade in order to keep up !

I have to agree with you here, very good point.Krog wrote:For what its worth I actually applaud Korg for not upgrading their apps to make use of the higher spec hardware.

I'm an ipad 1 owner too but don't think this is a good solution. I'd like to see updates for updated hardware so things can keep progressing. Features that make the ipad1 unstable should not be available to us though. Continue fixing but make some updates ios6 required or something.Krog wrote:For what its worth I actually applaud Korg for not upgrading their apps to make use of the higher spec hardware.

There are some devs who keep updating and fixing for the newer models but don't mention that it may make it less stable for early gens. You only find out after updating then it's too latecto go back. I agree that is the wrong way to do it.

I was thinking more about a new iElectribe rather than updating the current one.
Release a new more powerful one for those of us with more modern and more powerful iPads.
Id love to see something like a cross between my ESX and EMX in software.
