The PA3X styles works for PA600 too. You can use them all.

Also work styles for PA1x, PA2x, PA500, PA800...
Just to change some sounds in accompainment tracks...

But in principle - it is big amount of styles factory loaded,
better to make some adjustments of sounds in accompainment tracks, to make richer performances, to load Real Drums (for more Band sound)...
And it becomes fantastic keyboard.

You can load the entire set by loading the '.SET' file. Or drill down and load individual sounds and styles and perf.

Thanks rbalaa,

But since the sets are designed for other PA models, do we load the GLOBAL folder too?
I read some people say don't load it, others say load it !

Any suggestions?

Well I loaded it and didn't see an issue. However most sounds from the SET I loaded didn't work, whether its related to the global or not, I'm not sure, but I don't think so.

Pretty much all the styles on that page will work on the PA600 ... some may need a bit of tweaking.

global files, to load or not to load?

Post by peterkorg »

I have just loaded some Pa3X .set files into my pa600. Included in these set files are global files. I was unable to load with global protect checked, so went ahead and loaded set files anyway, including global file. Everything appears to be working properly. However, reading the forum I see that it is recommended not to load the global files. Could anyone give me a clear answer as to whether one should or shouldn't load global files created an a different arranger, and what is contained in a global file that would be overwritten by loading a different global file? I hope this question makes sense! Thanks a lot!

The Global folder reffers to specifics for the instrument that sat was made with. So, it's better to not load Global folder - even though in some very special cases you need them. But that is another story.

You just delete Global folder from set folder and load without it.
