Kronos square lead mod speed

Post by darrylh »

Our band is doing "Just What I Needed" by the Cars.

Patch User B076 Pure Square Lead is perfect for it.

I've adjusted the portamento speed, but can't figure out how to change the mod speed - push the joystick up for the vibrato at the end of song.

The current vibrato is too slow, need it fast like the ending of the Cars tune.

Please help, I've spent over an hour looking for it...

It's likely associated with an LFO. Change the frequency of the LFO's (modify one by one, not all at the same time) to be higher and see if you get a faster vibrato.

When we played this song in the 80's, I was using an Arp Oddessy. One trick I used was to play the first couple of lines with only one oscillator. Then kick in the second, slightly detuned oscillator for a bigger sound. Fun song!
