Saving Transpose?

Post by niks »

Hey guys,

I have a massive bunch of presets which I have created with splits on the keyboard. As there are so many songs to play, playing all of them in their original key gets pretty confusing sometimes. Its easier for me to transpose up or down in some of those songs.

The problem is, whenever I transpose it shifts all my split points up or down too according to how many semi tones I tranpose.

Is there a way where I can save the transpose to a preset? So when I tap on the preset on the screen, it loads it already transposed? The problem I am having is having to go into global, transpose first to the key I need it in, then go back into combi and load a preset - just takes too much time when your flowing from one song to the next in a non stop live set.

Thanks!

Sure can, in fact it's total madness the way your doing right now.

Edit your COMBI sound and look for tab called “Pitch”. It's normally found on the “Timbre Param” page.

In there you can transpose the individual tracks assigned to that COMBI sound. Once you set all the tracks to the same transpose value that suites you, save your COMBI sound.

Now, ever time you select that COMBI it will revert to those transpose settings meaning you never have to enter the global page again to transpose a sound.

Regards
Sharp.

Or, take five minutes more per song, learn it in the correct key and improve your musical prowess!
Dealing with transposed combis is a nightmare for me. At some point you always forget it was transposed and by how much and something gets screwed up. When I hit a C I want to know that it's a C.
