Here you can download a cracked Kronos.
All you need is a huge 3D printer at home.

you people are dumb. We all know the Kronos is basically just a linux PC.

Follow these simple commands to turn a run-of-the-mill Ubuntu installation into a Kronos.

1. Install Ubuntu (64bit baby!)

2. Plug in a USB controller to your laptop

3. Open up a terminal and type:

Code: Select all

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cracked-korg-kronos-opensource && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install kronos-base kronos-sequencer kronos-karma kronos-exi* kronos-exs*
4. Reboot and enjoy your new Kronos!

OMG! I just followed your instructions and now have a fully functional Kronos on my laptop, complete with all expansions! The icing on the cake is it is the Kronos X, so also includes the upgraded SSD and RAM!

Still has a noisy fan though: is there a downloadable package to fix that?

You have to tweak the ACPI configuration to make it run slower.

Folks, I installed the codes but now the beybed of my laptop is faulty, the middle CTRL and the 3rd Num Lock make some weird noise. Should I send the laptop to the service?

I think that's normal for the codes you used.

You could demand a full refund

Is there someone LEGALLY responsible for this thread? I am just learning this beast, and after applying all of your suggestions, my wife stopped operating normally, and I think she wants a divorce. Not to mention, my kids now refuse to work, and they 'Lock Up' every time I give them a command! But.... My Kronos still works like a charm!

Korg Forums can not be held accountable for any third party codes used. We strongly suggest that any codes used are used only for the manner in which they were intended and not for any additional devices such as Wife and Kids.
However, we are aware of such incompatibility issues and can offer the following work around. For issues with Wife please apply the "New handbag" fix. For issues with the Kids, please apply the "Trip to Disneyland Fix"

If these fixes don't work then it might be time to sell the Wife and Kids and upgrade to a new model that is more compatible with todays technology.
Hope this helps.

P.s - We recommend against trying to sell Wife and Kids on eBay. That never ends well.

Try to upgrade your wife to the version 2.0
If the upgrade fails you might brick her.
