my SV-1 Soundpack for download (info in 1st post)

Post by i_am_binky »

UPDATED MAY22 2014

resurrected this topic from a couple years back
this post has most recent info (May 22 2014)
----------------------------------------------------
  • I've been combining/adjusting the three available soundpacks into one-final-master, which still gets updated. but the basic patches have been more consistent of late, soooo....

You can find/download my latest *.SV1 files here:

lastly i'll re-mention how i match volume levels between patches:
    • i use the Stereo MasteringLimiter to +/- to set the volume of each patch; helps to to get a consistent loudness from sound to sound.
if you need to preserve all dynamics when recording, you should bypass this setting, but for jams, gigs, anything-else, it's great for getting closer to level

I second this request. I just picked up my SV-1 and I'd love to find out where to find user sets so I can take advantage of other people's hard work  Surely Korg must want to foster such a community. So where do we go?

binky, thanks for posting that! i've been shocked that more people don't post their tweaked sounds around here; i just got my new sv1 88 over the weekend, and am starting to tweak.

my goal is to have presets for every rhodes, wurly, and clav released, and drop all the organ and syntho-cheez sounds (i use a hammond xk3, and would sooner cut off my ears with rusty scissors than play in an 80s band). this goal is hard to achieve without all of the instruments in front of me--is anyone that lucky?--so the more people posting their shaped sounds, the better!

thanks again! keep em coming!

Thanks for the sound pack variations Binky! Keep em coming! I'm using one you made earlier this year and loving it!

I just don't seem to have the gift for tweaking, or maybe I just get too "into" it and can't hear or get what I think I want.

I wish Korg had embraced this idea of sharing patches like Fender FUSE community has. ugh. (like capt. kirk yelling in wrath of hahn) KORG!!!!!...KORG!!!!
Inspired by my Roland Jupiter 80 and SV-1 73, Fender Strats, Teles and Fender Amps, Taylor Acoustic. I am also an avid Ukulele player!

SV-1 set

Post by CPinBk »

Another round of thanks for the soundset! I just got up and running the last couple of days, but am new to electronic keyboards (being a classically-trained organist & pianist), and don't really know where to start, so the basic sounds just feel flat.
I think it's funny that Korg really touts the ability to create & trade user sets, but this is the only one I've found (and the previous generations). I'm really looking forward to installing this one and hearing the difference!

There is a Facebook group that has sounds posted in their files section. Like the German set that Korg released from a bunch of European music stars.

cool, thx!

i've updated the patch again... it's been a while and i've been using this lots lately, so seemed like a good time to update.
