Laptop - korg connection delayed sound problem

Post by MartyMc »

I connected korgpa500 to my laptop using cable connection from KORGPA500 Output 2X5MM Mono Jack -> Computer - 1X 3,5MM Stereo Jack

i was expecting no problem BUT when i press a key in korg, the sound comes around 0.3 seconds later on my laptop... and that ruins literally everything...

any idea how can i fix this please?

Try using some headphones to confirm there is no delay coming out of the PA500. The headphone output and mono jack output come from the same audio feed inside the PA500. (I have looked at the schematics) Assuming there is no delay there, that leaves the laptop as the culprit. Perhaps some delay in the laptop as it buffers the audio and converts it to digital?
