M-Audio Slave Keyboard

hallo,

i recently bought a M-audio 88es.

i want to set a diffrent sound to the m audio as i have for the M50 keys.

for example, Piano on the 88es and strings on the M50.

does anybody know?

This is theory only, Cause I've not tried it... But,

If you set up a combi such that the piano is on (eg.) channel 2 and the strings are on the normal int/global channel then incoming midi on channel 2 should play that instrument (piano) while the m50 respond only to its own keyboard --- that's the way the arp/drum sequences are set up to play separate from the (local control) keyboard.

thnx for the reply, i have the pinao on the second channel but it does not play fot some reason,

do i have to assing the 88es somewhere in the global settings?
when i play on the 88es it plays the strings.

You need to change the settings on the 88es so that it transmits on channel 2 rather than 1.
