I haven't updated my K61 yet, but I would like to personally thank Korg or whomever provided this update. I authored a topic named "Leslie Sims". I simply asked for a more realistic rotary sim. Any improvement was appreciated and from what I read, this is definitely a step in the right direction.

Thank you Korg for continued support of this fine machine. One other asked favor was to make the M1 sounds available for the Kronos as the Krome.

A still loyal and content customer!!!

Sub-System_604

Post by Luk84PL »

Hi! Maybe I'm just dreaming out loud here but firmware "Sub-System_604" does sound a little bit meaningful to me, esspecialy "604" value.
I know it's all about USB 3.0 support and lovely boot up screen but could it also be something that will give our Kronoses support for 64 bit OS upgrade in the future?

Coincidence or is it just my another conspiracy theory? ;)

Good observation… Perhaps KORG dropped another clue to one of their quiz contests? I hope you win.

Nope. Well, it's not written in any of the manuals.

I went in order of downloading from KORG's website, so the OS got updated before the firmware on my KRONOS.

Regards
Sharp.
Are you sure? I updated the firmware first. There's no way I can install the new OS. At least I didn't find a way.

I have to get this update in though. I bought the Kronos #1 for the organs! Especially pipes! I won't turn down a good cx3! I wish you the best of luck with your ordeal! I think I might wait until morning myself to try, probably better off since it has been a very challenging day already.
The thumbwheel was my issue. Wow was I twisted......, wasn't just about the Kronos.
Thanks for the support Bertotti be well.

Did you do the firmware upgrade? It is part of that, not the OS upgrade

All is great! Update went well, did the os then mrs then preload. Now when i did the preload I only uploaded the cx3 stuff, will I be missing anything? I couldn't see changing everything else when my impression it was all cx3 related anyway. So if you think I messed up please let me know.

I see pig tools is going to be a must. I will need to see if it is still available.

Off to the firmware update next. Thanks everyone!

FYI the thumb drive that didn't work for me in the past did work this time after a full format to fat 32. I didn't intentionally use the one that didn't work it was an accident I realized after the fact.

firmware was updated no problem!
Now I am tagging these two thumb drives as specific for my Kronos. :D

Updating is done, no problem at all, as long as you make your backup.
Wow, finally a live mute feature, just what I needed, not only on the Kronos, but also on the M3; I had to abuse Karma for the same result. Anyway, works perfect for me.

And yes, the CX3 sounds really great now, can't wait to use it in the live gig. Thanx Korg for this wonderful improvement on this power machine!

Since the new cx-3 sounds go into banks that already have sounds in them, I guess that means I have to relocate my sounds in order to make room for the new ones. Is this right and is there an easy way of doing. Bulk transfer to an empty band?
If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!

No reason to do anything unless you want to keep the handful of old organ sounds. Not that many really. I couldn't see a reason to do anything except load the new ones.

The new CX-3 engine sounds a lot better, and those KRS-06 patches are superb. Thanks Korg!

No I had a wonderful time with the OS so I figured I would keep my sanity and do the lawn & workout instead.

Now I will aggravate myself again.
Thanks for the info ed.
