Creating Songs o be stored into the user 16, User 17 etc...
Can I rename these banks to something other that User?
Also..I know how to edit sounds & arpeggios in combi's but havent figured out how to lower a single sound by an octive.

If you mean the categories that are named User 16 and User 17 then yes, you can change them. Go to Global Mode P4:Category page. You can make changes to combi and program categories and sub categories there. To permanently save the settings use the Write Global Settings menu command.
You can transpose a single program in a combi on the P3:MIDI page. Select the Pitch tab and enter -12 in the Transpose parameter for the timbre you want to lower by an octave. The value represents the number of semitones.
