EMX-1 SD clear all factory patterns

Is there a way to clear/erase all the factory content ?

Also, when I shift-8 to delete a pattern, it briefly resets to the plain kick pattern, when I come back to it, the factory pattern is back ?
(yes I have just bought it lol)

Thats Because every change has to be saved to make it persistent on change. You do that with the 'Write' button, next to the main wheel.

If you wan't completly clean banks you could load this file from your SD card.

CLEAN.EMX........(completely empty patterns, cleared A01-D64, no accents)

You can read how to do this in your manual. (Or post again and I'll try to explain ).

Attention: If you have made your own patterns already, by
loading a bank file (.emx) all your work will be overwritten if you don't save it on the SD card beforehand.

Here the factory patterns:
EMX1SD.EMX....(Preset patterns for the EMX-SD by Denkitribe, I think - various)
SM_FACT.EMX...(Preset patterns for the EMX, I don't know who made those - various)
UK_BASS.EMX...(By Shrike - various, mostly dubstep, electro house)

Bumping an old thread - are these files still available anywhere? Especially CLEAN.EMX.
