Any of you Korg Krome players layed your hands on the new Kurweil Artis at all?
I have a friend who is dead keen on a new Piano based board but has no access to either of these and its impossible to try because of where we live. I do have a Kronos myself but I know thats going to be different in a number of ways such as the 88 key bed. So if anyone has tried the Artis at all I'd appreciate a comparison. Now my friend is more of a Piano and a pad/string behind person so thats the most important thing for her. It's just impossible where we live to try before you buy which sucks big time.
SO Krome users how does the 88 note piano action and piano/pads compare. She really won't use much of anything else except maybe an electric piano on the very odd occasion. No synth sounds or the likes.
Appreciate your feedback and please feel free to rave or rant.

The Artis sounds and feels great! I do prefer the action of the Artis over the 88 Krome. The piano sound is also quite impressive along with the Rhodes and wurli sounds. The only thing I don't like about it is the weight due to its metal body. I guess it's superior in build quality. Keyboard Corner in Melbourne will ship to NZ.
