Quik Lok SL-920 Keyboard Stand
Just spotted this on the quik-lok website. Looks petty cool! However there is very little information on it. Has anyone tried this stand? I was looking at the slicker baby spider pro. But it is twice the cost and it looks like the quik lok allows you to adjust the angle of the tiers. The spider pro tilt is fixed at 15 degrees. It doesn't look the sturdiest but looks can be deceiving, lightness and fold ability is more important to me as I use lightweight keyboards for my quik setup/teardown gigs.

Looks interesting! Love to hear some reviews myself.

Its says there is plenty of room for pedals. I use a pedal board and it does not look to me like that wold work with this stand. Anyone using this type of stand with pedal board?

I don't think many people have used it. I asked my local music shop to order one in so I can check it out. Might take a month for it to actually get here, I'll follow up with details when it does.
Check out this picture! So compact! http://www.quiklok.com/catalog/index.ph ... 15&iType=1

My two cents. I have an SL 290 that's been on a couple of gigs and I can't stand the thing. Its collapsed form factor is terrible and it's too heavy. The stability is acceptable but setup accuracy is awful (arm orientation is problematic). The pedal access isn't as good as you might think because of pedestal angle. I love to complain about my Apex build quality but it's way more useable than the Quik Lok.
Thanks for your 2 cents! I was a little skeptical myself. I have a apex now and like every thing about it except no real good place for pedals or pedal midi controller. I was going to check out a two tier z type stand. Seams like plenty of room under for pedals. Anyone have any thoughts on these?

I use the Spider Pro and bought the bag to carry it. Makes it much easier to cart around. Love the stand. And I attach a gooseneck mic holder to it and no need for a mic stand.
I am going to reinforce the top cap were the mic stand attaches with some metal to ensure no issues, but other than that one small thing, the stand is great. Also the 4 feet adapt to uneven floors etc. No more carrying around little wedges of wood to stabilize my two tiered X stand.

From what I see- no room for a rectangular pedalboard like I use. Not a lot angle and placement options. I use older USS stands. Almost an infinite number of angle and left/right placement options. Also a number of accessories available if you can find them. I have gotten some great deals on Craigslist and eBay and I have a lot of spare parts. Lightweight and easy to set up.
Similar to this and now in production are the Jaspers:

Made in Germany and I am not sure who distributes state-side. Browse the website to see all the options
If your requirements are fairly simple then disregard.
PS- I do use the USS for playing live and I can configure the stand for different applications. As a matter of fact I have 2-3 different stands built up for multiple situations.

Thanks Jks!
I had high hopes for this stand but it's good to here an opinion on it. I guess I'm going to go the baby spider pro route with 2 tiers. The only problem is that I want to be able to adjust the upper tier to tilt further down in order to hold a music tray, the angle has to be pretty tilted in order to read sheet music off it.. I'm trying to streamline my rig. Does anyone know if the baby spider pro would be able to do this? I play sitting down always.
