Mac freezes when connecting Kronos X

Downloaded the midi-driver, installed "External Setup", plugged my new Kronos X USB port B into my Mac (USB).

Keyboard and mouse freezes up.

What the heck?
Changed cables, disconnected other drives, this and that - no good outcome.

Anybody know something about this?

I'm running 10.6.8
Have been reluctant to go to 10.8 since I'm working on a Hackintosh.

Why not update to Mavericks, it is free. I use a DAW in lieu of connecting directly into Kronos.

Working on a hackintosh does throw a wrench into things....I'm currently on 10.6.8 but I just run the Kronos through the standard connections (no usb) so obviously that works fine.....moon
