Hello I installed midiox - this is the setup keyboard is plugged in to my computer via usb and is plugged in to my sound card (midi IN)chris-korg wrote:In my Alesis QX49 Midi-keyboard I have to assign the ZONE-channel (additionally to the Global channel) to the corresponding MIDI-channel of my Volca, maybe that is your problem.
Anyway you can check what´s comming out of the Midi-Out of your keyboard with programs like MidiOX.
when I set MIDI OUT on my controller to Int. midi ox shows blinking RT and keyboard responds on ch 1 when i switch controller to USB mode nothing responds
I don't own this M-Audio controller, but I just dropped an eye in the KeyStudio 25 manual.
This is how I interprete it:
Connect PC and keyboard via USB (for power)
Connect keyboard and Volca via MIDI
Set the MIDI OUT function to internal. Now you should be able to use the keyboard to control the Volca.
When the MIDI OUT function is set to USB, you can send MIDI data from your PC (over the USB cable) to the MIDI out port of the keyboard,
but the keyboard can not sent data to the MIDI out port. This is a MIDI through kind equivalent mode.
You have partially confirmed it in your posts.
Maybe you can give it a try.
Have fun.
