Hello everyone. I'm so new to Krome that I haven't even received mine yet. It's on order and it is suppose to arrive sometime this week. Unfortunately I'm out of town until Saturday.

I just wanted to introduce myself and ask a question.

I play in 2 bands that play completely different music. What is the best way to save the krome's set up for each band? On separate SD cards or in "folders" on one SC card? How can I handle this eloquently? Are there better options to consider?

Hmm, it depends on how much sounds you need for each band.

You can use maybe program 1-50 for one band and the others for the second band. You can also give the sounds different catagories per band, so you can find them fast.

If you dont need combis, you can take the free programbank for one band and copy the programs for the second band into the free combibank.

Or you have for each band a bank on the card and load it into the userbank,
Or....

A lot of possibilities:-)

Thanks for the response! It's good to know I have options. Most of the setups will consist of combis. Very few songs will just need one instrument from me. I'm kind of a utility guy more than a pure keyboard player.

I have good news and bad news. My wife says my keyboard has arrived, but the CD that comes with it is broken. I've email the store where I purchased it to get a replacement. In the meantime is the information that is on the CD available for download online? I'm just afraid the store will have to order from the factory and that may take time.

Yes, the CD contains PDF docs (manual), drivers..etc. All of which can be found online. www.korg.com

I got the 73. My other board is a 61 and I'm constantly finding that I need just one or two more notes up or down. I am finally home and I have been doing nothing but playing the keyboard. My wife says I should have stayed on the trip because she sees me just as much. LOL. I'm liking the board a lot, but I find it sounding kind of dull. Like all the high end has been rolled off. Is there a global setting to adjust the EQ? I heard this in the store also, but figured it was how the store had the mixer setup.

Hey

Make all you want for the one band and save it on an SD card from the krome - make a folder if you want too just to keep it seperated (it's only info that's stored there doesnt really take up much space)
same with the other band heheh
same the one band needs more then the slots available heheh save set one and set 2 f.ex.

Same with band two
Name them as such... and just load up the one for each band
That way you have the full krome for each
Takes but 20 sec's to load

Oi and.. there are eq's and all that jazz for each sound heheh
it's easy to just hit the write and ok for when you are satizefied

Thanks Saga. I was hoping I could save as separate folders on an SD card. That will make my life a lot easier. Just to make sure...there is a return to factory settings feature that will reset the entire board correct?
