Five new demos of Dream Pianos

Post by Francois »

I have prepared five new demos of Qui's bank, Dream Pianos, to show five presets.

It's always a pleasure to play with these programs. Great job Qui !

Before you start, I was a bit lazy and didn't correct mistakes here and there. For example, should have removed more pedal noise from Chanson, address the clipping occurring due to me wrongly calculating normalization, etc. Still, it gives a fair idea of what the bank can help you achieve.

Chanson (Magical Pad Piano) [note: too much pedal noise, sorry]

Comptine d'un autre été (Smooth & Warm Piano)

Deep Blue (Celtic Piano)

River flows in you (Break of Dawn Piano)

Twin Peaks (Sleep Tight EP)

Bonne écoute!

Was a pleasure to listen, and I especially like Chanson a lot.

Thanks Jim.

Ryuichi Sakamoto has long been one of my favourite artists, since discovering YMO when I was a teenager.

I love his sense of melody, Chanson being a prime example. It's the sort of tune that inspires me when on the piano.

Francois, your performance, particularly of Chanson, is exquisite!
Is this your favourite sort of music?
Thank you for sharing!!

thank you Francois,
i always like hearing tracks from people with my own sounds. You have an outstanding taste of music, out of five you played three favorite pieces of mine :D

Chanson is my favorite performance from the five you played, i didn't know that track but is has a great melodie and feel in your performance!

I often play the river flows in you track with the Bright Glass Piano preset, for that track i use velocity preset 9, which gives a little bit more dynamics possibilities, but it sounds quite nice with the break of dawn preset also :)

thanks for your demos !

Ha, ha... talk about great minds thinking alike! ;)
Chanson is my favorite performance
I'm happy with the result, particularly as it was difficult to reach the stage where it sounds easy, when it's all in the phrasing.

I nearly used Bright Glass too. Will probably do a final demo with that preset as it's one of my favourite from the bank.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.

Merci Francois !
Very nice !
My favorite is Deep Blue !

Too bad for the clipping ! May be another mix will render the truth to those great sounds and excellent pieces !

Cheers :D
