COMBI mode activate SW1 (OCTAVE UP) to just one sound.

Post by ACRIS »

Hello!
I would like to see if they help me solve the following problem:

In COMBI mode, split in 3 sounds keyboard, I need to activate SW1(OCTAVE UP), to only one of the 3 sounds.

This did not work:
P1 Controllers: assign OCTAVE UP to SW1.
P5-2 MIDI Filter: enable the box only the sound you want to activate with SW1 (OCTAVE UP).

I hope to have another option, or someone tells me I'm doing wrong.

Very grateful in advance.

excuse my wrong English.

The MIDI Filter for SW1 and SW2 only has an effect when the SW1/2 is assigned to SW 1 Mod. (CC#80), SW2 Mod. (CC#81), or Portamento SW (CC#65). When you assign SW1/2 to Octave up or down it will transpose the entire keyboard for all timbers regardless of the MIDI Filter setting.

But there is a way to accomplish what you want although it's a real pain. You can use AMS in every program that you want to transpose using SW1. First set SW1 to CC80 in the combi. Then go to each program you want to control with SW1. Go to Page P2:OSC Pitch, Tab OSC1 Pitch. In the Pitch section change AMS to SW1 CC#80 and change the intensity to +12. If it's a double oscillator program do the same on tab OSC2 Pitch. Save the program and repeat for each program in the combi you want to transpose.

As a side benefit the MIDI Filter in the combi will work for this since SW1 is now assigned to CC80.

It would be a good idea to make a copy of each program and update the combi to use the program copy since the change would affect all other combis that use it.

Perhaps there is an easier way that someone knows of but this is the only way I know.

I figured I had to be by AMS but did not know where to change.
Thank also for your knowledge about midi filters.
