KARMA Drum Question

Post by latnjazfan »

Calling You KARMA Experts Out There:

I have had a lot of fun tweaking the KARMA programs used in the original Combis that came on the Kronos.

In the process, I have discovered that certain drum timbres play rhythms AND are "live" on the keyboard. When this happens I get the rhythm pattern PLUS the acoustic drum sound associated with each note -- playing simultaneously. It's not good.

How do I turn it off?? I'm sure it is a simple setting somewhere - I just can't find it.

Thanks for your help.
Love my Kronos 73. Got it October 2011. March 2016 bought SpaceStation v.3 and Behringer Sub-Woofer.

It depends on how it's programmed. There are a few places it might turn up.

First place to check:

KARMA > GE Setup/Key Zones tab - uncheck the Thru in Z (Thru in Zone) box, and possibly the Thru out Z (Thru out Zone) box. You should also look at the Timbre Thru boxes on this same tab if you're getting the some timbres playing when KARMA is switched off.

Next place:

It might also turn up as a KARMA Real Time Parameter (RTP) assigned to one of the KARMA switches. Just turn off the switch that is assigned to Thru Inside Zone or similar name. You can also un-assign it if you want.
