Microkorg XL+ external keyboard connection

Post by ayginin »

Hello,
I just purchased a Microkorg XL+ and I am trying to connect my Yamaha keyboard to the synth.

On Yamaha there is only a USB B type output whereas there is a USB type B and classic MIDI input/output on Korg.

I guess I have to use a computer and maybe a software inbetween 2 keyboards?

I would appreciate all the help.

Thx
Attila

Yes, you need a computer and you can use any MIDI software (for example, "MIDI-OX"), that can send MIDI data from one MIDI port to another MIDI port.
Computer is needed as HOST, because USB ports on Yamaha and Korg is only SLAVE devices.
