PA3X App?
I have a Kronos and although I'm glad I got it, there are times when I wish I had purchased something like an arranger board with all the backing tracks and drum fills etc.
Korg has released many apps including the new Gadget app which seems to have been a massive success, so I'm wondering if they could develope an app that could turn the Kronos in to (something like) a PA3x.
After all, Kronos has all the sounds and 16 timbers. It just lacks the "band in a box" which I'm sure could be done with an app.
If not, then is there an app that does this already?

Re: PA3X App?
it takes more work, and the quality is hit and miss. u could load midi files in the sequencer and load in better sounding Programs. backing tracks for pop songs are common on the InternetNiblit wrote:I have a Kronos and although I'm glad I got it, there are times when I wish I had purchased something like an arranger board with all the backing tracks and drum fills etc.

Why not actually use Band in A Box? You can have it drive your Kronos so that the quality of sound is better. Pretty cheap option to get close.Niblit wrote:I have a Kronos and although I'm glad I got it, there are times when I wish I had purchased something like an arranger board with all the backing tracks and drum fills etc.

I use this approach a lot. I use BiaB to create a MIDI file, then import to my DAW and edit as necessary. Send the MIDI file to the Kronos and you're good to go.ed_f wrote:Why not actually use Band in A Box? You can have it drive your Kronos so that the quality of sound is better. My last upgrade of BiaB, I bought the real tracks. Many of them are quite good! You can export the real instruments and create wav files to import to the audio tracks on the Kronos.
This is a very flexible and powerful option.

I've just taken a look at MidiBand and it does seem to be exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for your reply Bobmusic.bobmusic wrote:You could try MidiBand for iPad. It has a 50% off sale right now.Niblit wrote:If not, then is there an app that does this already?

Yes, AIAB - arranger in a box , so to say. I have not tested it thoroughly yet. For easy first try i did a GM-reset in Kronos sequencer. All sounds sounded quite right this way.Niblit wrote:I've just taken a look at MidiBand and it does seem to be exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for your reply Bobmusic.

Hi
Getting Apps will be most affordable, otherwise you can get a Bk-7 backing module or a small arranger.
You ll end up with nice combo
