The Triton doesn't have karma built in. You can add karma via PC and software to either board.

If you are absolutely not into programming any of your own sounds you may have a larger download selection for the Triton but I can't say for sure.

Personally I would stick with the M50.

I have karma for the M50, if you go to the Karmalabs web sight you can also install it for your M50.

I would take a Triton Extreme with MOSS card over an M50 but definitely an M50 over a Triton Classic, unless you really really REALLY must have sampling. And don't mind dealing with a floppy drive or SCSI drive.

Stephen Kay is pretty good about providing a new key code at no additional cost when you upgrade PCs. It's a question better asked over at karma-labs.

This is a tough one for me. As the former owner of a Triton Extreme with MOSS (It blew up due to power problems at a venue, and was classed as unrepairable by the shop) and current owner of the m50, I like both boards. The thing is, despite some great features and more realistic samples, I think I like the m50 least. It is hard to put my finger on why. Certainly it has the worst key action, but conversely the best touchscreen of the three (including a Triton Classic which I now own again). I had a ball layering pad sounds between the two for some really cool results. Really I think using them together is the best approach, provided you find a good deal on a Triton or Triton EX. The keybed is SOOO much better on both Triton-series boards that an argument could be made to MIDI up the m50 to the classic Triton and do some cool COMBI's using both sound engines.....
