I GotVery Lucky Tonight!

Post by TRAUMA »

Nope, didn't get laid. I got something much longer lasting and less regrettable after I paid for it. I got a Korg ESX sampler for $220 shipped on eBay!!! I've been wanting one to accompany my ESX for a long while now. I recently sold my Roland TD-08 V Drums and basically used the profit to buy this. I'm really excited and I wanted to share the news!

I had a KP3 Kaoss pad for a while but it was useless as a sampler. Way to tedious and convoluted. It was great as an effects processor but that's it. I found myself using it less and less as well. This ESX on the other hand, well I really hope I enjoy it s much as my EMX. I always have these great ideas for tracks that require sound bytes from movies or whatever but the KP3 was garbage at it. Can anyone tell me how my new ESX will compare to the Korg ES-1 mkII I used to own?

It kicks the ES-1's ass all day. ES-1 is just a sample-based drum machine, compared to the ESX's keyboard parts (record monosynth lines out of your samples), STRETCH PARTS (tempo-match your samples to anything) and the slice part.
